MOOD BOARD DREAM KITCHEN

Updated: Mar 19, 2019

As some of you know I am an RCC student, currently, I have been assigned to design my dream kitchen.
Thought process
The first question that came to my mind was "What style of kitchen do I love the most?". My answer right away was a farmhouse, it has always intrigued me because of the mix of woods and the neutral color schemes. For an efficient work triangle, I've decided to go with a right triangle, meaning that the stove and sink (from the island) will be directly across from each other and the refrigerator would be beside the stove.
WALL COLOR & FLOORING
To give more emphasis on the cabinets the walls will be the color white and the flooring will be a light wood.
ISLAND
My idea for the island is to create an eating area with a sink. I would like to include 3 stools for seating that are more of a wood and brown color. I would also like to have chargers on the island to represent where the plate should go when eating. The island is going to be all white and have storage all around it.
CABINETS
For the upper cabinets I want to go with the color white and the lower ones black, the countertop will be white. I want there to be a contrast between the upper and lower cabinets. I've always like the idea of having glass panels for the upper I've decided to go with a right triangle, meaning that the stove and sink (from the island) will be direct across from each other and the refrigerator would be beside the stove.

LIGHTING
Overhead lighting will be placed above the island to create the focal point of the kitchen. The overhead light will be industrial, meaning the lightbulb will be exposed.
