JJ Interiors has been hired by Sophie E. Collins to space plan, furnish, and accessorize her new apartment. Sophie is 21 years old, single, and recently moved out of her parent's home. My client has recently purchased an urban loft in downtown Charlotte, NC. It is a one-bedroom apartment, with access to the bathroom within the bedroom. The kitchen and living room share the same space, with a closet included for storage. She moved into the city for more significant job opportunities. My client wants living space to be her break from the city and to provide a place for downtime. She is also a college student and would like an area to do her work. Faux plants are added to living space because the client is constantly busy and does not have time to care for plants. Plants are purely for decoration. Her desired style of choice for her loft is Industrial Modern. She wants to include exposed brick, cool tones, but the most important aspect is comfort.

Going along with the industrial vibes I chose to go with a color scheme that has different shades and tints of brown. Classics from industrial style are included such as the cow hide and the skull picture frame displayed in the living room. The room is filled with sleek clean lines and metal to fulfill the Industrial Modern style.

For the kitchen it was decided to go with the same color scheme as the living because they share the same space. Brick paneling was used instead of installing literal brick because it is an apartment. Metal is included in the bar stools. The gold chandeliers are used to mix a bit of metal.

Bedroom has a lighter color scheme, still includes the dark brown colors, but the wood flooring is lighter. Metal is incorporated in the metal bed frame, dresser, mirror, and bedside tables. Chandeliers and bedside table bring in the sleek lines that is a characteristic to the modern style.

Bathroom has a modern vanity that is light brown. It is kept white because it makes the room feel cleaner, and makes the bathroom feel more spacious. Faux plant is included in the bathroom to give a break from the eye, and add some green to the space.
